Clough has been at the helm of the Brewers for 10 years
Burton Albion face a replay in the FA Trophy first round two days before Christmas after a 1-1 draw with Farsley Celtic at home on Tuesday.
The Brewers went ahead in the 28th minute through Greg Pearson but Jake Speight converted into an unguarded net in the second half.
Manager Nigel Clough said: "It was a good game for us in some ways because it proves a lot of points for us.
"If we are slightly not on our game, then we get results like we that."
The Blue Square Premier leaders will look at rearranging their league game with Tamworth on Monday to avoid matches in two successive days.
Clough told the club website: "We need to see if we can get two teams out on successive nights but one thing for certain is that Paris Simmons won't be available.
"If we don't play on Monday we are going to struggle to get the game in after Christmas but we will see what we can do."
