Burton Albion have signed veteran goalkeeper Kevin Poole ahead of their Conference opener against Morecambe.
Brewers boss Nigel Clough swooped for the 43-year-old after Crewe put a block on Stuart Tomlinson's proposed loan move to the Pirelli Stadium.
Poole, who is coaching in the Academy at Birmingham City, is set to play at Morecambe on Saturday after signing on a game-to-game basis.
Poole made seven appearances for Derby County last season.
