Burnley defender Michael Duff and striker Steven Thompson have both agreed new contracts at Turf Moor.

Duff, 32, has penned a two-year deal, while 31-year-old striker Thompson has agreed a one-year extension.

Duff told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I'm delighted to stay. There was interest from other clubs but I never wanted to look elsewhere.

"I'm more than happy where I am. Once the two parties came together it was quite easily done."

Northern Ireland international Duff has made 202 appearances for the Clarets since joining from Cheltenham Town for £30,000 in July 2004.

Thompson moved to Burnley from Cardiff City on a free transfer in September 2008 and has since scored 15 goals in 65 games.

Burnley will return to the Championship next season after being relegated in their first Premier League campaign.
