Burnley midfielder Wade Elliott has signed a new three-year contract at Turf Moor.
The 29-year-old ended speculation over his future by agreeing the deal which will keep him at the club until 2011.
He told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It's taken a little while. It was a big decision for me to make.
"I'm happy I signed and just looking forward to the next three years. I've always said all along that I'm very happy at the club."
He added: "The manager has come in, he's very ambitious. If I didn't think we were going to be able to move forward and that the club was in good shape then I wouldn't have signed."
Elliott was among eight players whose contracts were due to end in the summer. Manager Owen Coyle is undecided over the remaining seven.
