Ternent keen to keep duo
Armstrong was injured for most of last season
Burnley boss Stan Ternent is hoping the club can raise the cash to offer out-of-contract defenders Dean West and Gordon Armstrong new deals.
"I'm hoping to keep them both on," Ternent told the Clarets' official website. "We'll offer them new contracts, but at the moment a lot of it is up in the air with the ITV Digital television situation. "But once I have a clearer idea on that, I'll make the offers and I hope that they will both be acceptable." Clarets' player of the year West, 29, arrived at Turf Moor from Ternent's former club Bury three seasons ago. Armstrong was also signed from the Gigg Lane outfit during Ternent's first term in charge at Burnley.
