Ternent accuses Warnock
Stan Ternent
Ternent will be reporting Warnock to the FA
Burnley boss Stan Ternent has claimed Sheffield United counterpart Neil Warnock sent someone to listen to his half-time team talk during Saturday's game at Bramall Lane.

"Neil sent someone into the corridor and behind my dressing room door to listen to our team talk," a furious Ternent said.

"In my book that is the lowest of the low. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

"It's wrong and I'll be writing a letter to the FA and Football League to report him for it, because it's not in the true spirit of the game.

Neil Warnock
Warnock vehemently denied the accusation

"If I was chairman of a football club, he wouldn't be working for me."

Warnock, whose side won the game 2-0 to end Burnley's play-off hopes, said: "I deny it totally. Stan says a lot when he's not in a very good mood.

"I don't have to do things like that to win a game of football. He can report me if he wants, but I know I've done nothing wrong."

Peter Ndlovu, with a first-half strike, and Carl Asaba, who scored in the last minute, were Sheffield United's goalscorers in the game.
