Trollope targets different style

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope says his team are going to play a different brand of football this year.

The 38-year-old is now in sole charge of team affairs after the departure of director of football Lennie Lawrence.

"We're looking to get more fluidity in our play especially in attacking areas," Trollope told BBC Points West.

"Our recruitment shows that we're trying to bring younger players who we can shape and mould into a different philosophy as well."

Trollope continued: "On the pitch we're trying to move it in a different direction and are pleased that the players that we've got in are going to make us better.

"We're looking for a real team effort and ethic this season that Bristol Rovers are famous for, that the fans want to see and what I want to see.

"If we can get that along with the quality then we're in for a strong season."
