Kuffour has been relegated with three different clubs in the last three years
Bristol Rovers have signed Bournemouth striker Jo Kuffour for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.
The 26-year-old's switch was delayed by flu and he has gone into the squad for Saturday's match with Leeds.
First-team coach Paul Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol: "He's fully recovered from a hernia operation in the summer.
"His preferred position is as a striker but he can play in both wide slots. His versatility is a benefit to the squad and his quality certainly is."
The 26-year-old former Arsenal trainee first came to prominence in the Torquay side that won promotion from League Two in 2004.
However, in the last three seasons he has been relegated three times - from League Two with Torquay and from League One with Brentford and Bournemouth.
