Johnson's Bristol City side currently lie 11th in the Championship
Bristol City manager Gary Johnson has warned his players they must consistently be at their best if they are to compete in the Championship.
City lost for the first time in five games on Saturday when they went down 4-1 at home to Reading.
Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol: "You've got to be at your best to compete with the likes of Birmingham, Sheffield United, Wolves and, of course, Reading.
"These teams have Premiership quality. If you're not on song they harm you."
Johnson added: "We want to recover from this.
"It's a shame we haven't got a game on Tuesday but we have to wait until Saturday to get it out of our minds."
