McAllister injured his toe in the game against Barnsley
Bristol City defender Jamie McAllister has said he hopes to return against Nottingham Forest on 15 November after being ruled out with an injured toe.
McAllister suffered the injury in a tackle with Barnsley's Jon Macken during Saturday's 0-0 draw at Oakwell.
Scans showed the defender had not broken his toe but bruised the bone and will be out of action for two weeks.
"It was nice to receive the results back and be told there's no fracture," McAllister told the club website.
"I've got to wear a special boot for the next few days or so and then when the bruising comes out and the swelling goes down, I can kick on from there.
"If I can get back for the Forest game, I'd be happy."
McAllister added: "I've also got Scotland v Argentina to look forward to on 19 November and that's another aim."
