Bristol City have decided not to sign Coventry City striker Michael Misfud because of concerns about his commitment to the club.
The Maltese international, 27, was in talks at Ashton Gate over the weekend after a deal worth £1.5m was agreed.
But City manager Gary Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol: "I will not sign people who aren't the right personality.
"If they are not going to show the right commitment then we've got to look for people who can."

Johnson explained: "If the fans were with me when I talked to our last two targets they'd have agreed - leave them and look for the next one."
