Bristol City boss Danny Wilson has placed midfielders Simon Clist and Robin Hulbert on the transfer list.
The pair struggled to make it into the first team squad recently and are now free to look for new clubs.
Clist went to Third Division Torquay United last season on loan, while Hulbert spent some time at Gay Meadow with Shrewsbury.
"We need to get them out there playing regular first-team football, which at present they aren't able to do here at Ashton Gate," Wilson told the club's official website.
"It's no good them both playing in the reserves for the next three to four months because they need to be playing at a better standard.
"We've circulated their names around in hope of helping them gaining a loan move or possibly even a permanent transfer."
Meanwhile, City striker Lee Peacock has escaped a ban.
Peacock was involved in an incident against Luton at Ashton Gate last season and was caught on video pushing Hatters defender Sol Davis.
But City's appeal against the ban has been upheld by the FA.
