Matthews delight at comeback goal
Bristol City striker Lee Matthews
Matthews has had months of injury misery
Bristol City's Lee Matthews says he could not explain how good the feeling was to finally find the net after 10 months without a goal.

The striker was on target in the 5-2 pre-season friendly win over Forest Green.

His last competitive game was against QPR in September last season and he has been battling a serious of back injuries since then.

The 24-year-old said: "It's been so long and there were times last season when I didn't feel like I was ever going to play again.

"Even when they were telling me that it should be improving, it wasn't, so to get back pain-free and running well again is great," he told the club website.

The former Leeds forward described the goal against Forest Green as like "scoring at Wembley".
