Matthews devastated by injury
Bristol City midfielder Lee Matthews has confirmed that he expects to be out of action for up to six weeks.

City manager Danny Wilson had initially feared a lay-off of up to one month after the player hurt his back in the 3-1 defeat to QPR.

But Matthews himself says he is in a lot of pain and could be out for longer than that after being told he has a slipped disc.

"I've even found it difficult getting in and out of my car," Matthews told the club's official website.

"I am looking at another six weeks or so on the sidelines and I'm devastated by that."
