Brighton striker Ashley Barnes unfazed by goal drought

Brighton & Hove Albion striker Ashley Barnes insists he is not worried about his current lack of goals.

The 22-year-old is Albion's joint top scorer with seven but has not found the net in his last 12 apperances.

He told BBC Sussex: "I've gone on a bit of a bad spell at the moment, but hopefully my luck will change soon.

"I've been playing in the hole, in midfield or out wide supporting Craig Mackail-Smith. I'm happy to do any job the gaffer [Gus Poyet] asks me to do."

He added: "I'm learning every aspect of the game and different positions.

"The gaffer, Mauricio Taricco and Charlie Oatway are giving me experience to play in those positions. I've still got things to learn and as long as I'm playing, I'll be happy."

Meanwhile, Seagulls defender Inigo Calderon has been ruled out until January after undergoing an operation on a knee injury.
