Haswell gets Seagulls opportunity

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton are giving AFC Wimbledon left back Michael Haswell a one-week trial.

Haswell will be with the squad during their trip to Ireland and feature in a pre-season friendly with Worthing.

Manager Micky Adams said: "He's someone who has been flagged up by various scouts. Barry Lloyd (Brighton's chief scout) has watched him."

The Seagulls are without a recognised left back in the squad at present, though David Livermore has experience in that position.
