Brighton chief executive Martin Perry is hoping manager Dean Wilkins will accept the offer of a new contract.
Dean Wilkins has been offered a new deal by Brighton
Perry told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "He's done a wonderful job with limited resources and we're sure he'll want to stay on when his deal ends in June.
"Getting him to commit to a new contract will also send a good message to new signings we're trying to get that he's here for the long term."
Wilkins has been in charge since taking over from Mark McGhee in September.
