Brighton have signed defender Joe Dolan from Millwall on a one-month loan deal.
Blayney played twice for Saints in the league this season
Dolan, 24, played under Mark McGhee at The Den and was keen to link up with him at the Seagulls where he will step in for the injured Adam Hinshelwood.
McGhee has also added to his defensive ranks with the capture of Southampton goalkeeper Alan Blayney.
The 23-year-old, a former Northern Ireland under-21 international, figured twice in the Premiership this term and joins on loan to the end of the season.
With Michael Kuipers out until next season with a shoulder injury and Ben Roberts struggling with a knee injury, McGhee was keen to find back-up to Rami Shaaban in goal.
Blayney spent a month on loan at Rushden and Diamonds earlier this season.
Like Blayney, Dolan is a former Northern Ireland under-21 international. He has just completed a two-month loan spell at Stockport County.
"I'm looking forward to proving that I'm good enough to play in this league and maybe earn a contract at Brighton," Dolan told the club's website.
"When Mark took over at The Den I played about five or six games. I've always kept in touch with him and it's good that this has worked out."
