Rougier plots great escape
On-loan Brighton midfielder Tony Rougier revealed he is desperate to keep the Seagulls in the First Division.

Rougier joined the Seagulls' relegation battle last week and made an immediate impact, scoring their winner in the 1-0 home win over Millwall on Saturday after coming off the bench.

And the 31-year old has set his sights on lifting Steve Coppell's side away from the threat of relegation back to Division Two.

"I had other offers to go on loan, but I felt joining Brighton would be right for me and it's a relief to score in my first game and for my new team to win.

"I want to try and instil the belief in my team-mates that we can stay up.

"The aim is to leave Brighton in a better position than when I arrived," he said.
