Brighton's Wilson bid rejected
Danny Wilson did not want to switch to Brighton
Brighton have been knocked back in their attempts to appoint Danny Wilson as their new manager.
Wilson is currently in charge at Bristol City and does not want to move despite being told of Brighton's interest.
Brighton are searching for a new manager following the resignation of Peter Taylor at the end of last season. "Brighton contacted me on Thursday night about Danny's position and I told him of their interest to see what his reaction would be," said City chairman John Laycock. "He is not interested in going there and we as a club are not interested in letting him go. "I have contacted Brighton to inform them of those facts so that is where the matter ends."
