Bean signs new Brentford contract

Bean is considered an integral part of Brentford's side

Brentford midfielder Marcus Bean has agreed a contract extension to keep him at the club until the end of the 2011/2012 season.

The 25-year-old signed for the Bees in May 2008 and scored nine goals to help the club win the League Two title.

Bees boss Andy Scott told the club's website: "We obviously rated Marcus enough to sign him in the first place.

"We feel he can continue to progress whilst he has become an integral part of what we are trying to build here."
