Brentford manager Andy Scott has warned his side not to get carried away by their 4-0 win against Grimbsy.
Scott told BBC London: "We wanted to show the home crowd what we could do.
"We've been purring in pre-season, ready to get going. We're not going to get carried away but that's what we can do. It was a good team performance.
"The lads are absolutely delighted with a clean sheet, which for me is a good sign. But we've got to build on it, we can't settle on one game."
Scott added: "We've got to do it consistently week in, week out. We've got our first points on the board but we've got to keep pushing on."
Saturday's win was Brentford's first of the season after they went down 1-0 to Bury in their opening League Two match and then lost 2-0 against Swansea in the Carling Cup.
