Jamaican international Deon Burton has been unveiled as Brentford boss Martin Allen's seventh signing of the summer.
Brentford hope Burton will bring them goals
The 27-year-old striker will officially join the Bees on 1 August, and said he was confident he could do a good job for them in League One.
"I want to kick-start my career again and get some goals and help us up the League," Burton said.
"I know my ability, I know I can score. Hopefully that will be proven once the season starts."
Burton, who was released by Portsmouth this summer will sign a one-year deal at Griffin Park, and Allen told BBC London 94.9: "I think he's a good player.
"He's been around the Premiership for a few years and hopefully he's going to do well for us.
"He needs a fresh start, a kick up the backside and he needs to start playing some matches.
"We'll soon see how hungry he is to get back there."
