We deserved a point, says McCall

Stuart McCall
McCall felt his players did not deserve criticism for the defeat at Wycombe

Bradford City manager Stuart McCall felt his side's performance at Wycombe on Saturday merited a point.

Bradford conceded after 70 minutes to lose 1-0, as Wycombe maintained their unbeaten start in the league.

McCall told BBC Radio Leeds: "I was fairly pleased - we're at a side second in the league and I don't think the lads could have given any more.

"They defended well and without that bit of bad luck we could have been going home with a deserved point.

"Unfortunately they got the one killer goal, but I don't think there's anything to be hard on the players about today."

Bradford now lie sixth, one of six clubs on 27 points, four points behind Wycombe and leaders Darlington.
