Bantams bolster defence
Bradford have eased their current injury crisis by signing Newcastle central defender Steven Caldwell on a month's loan.

Defenders David Wetherall, Andy Tod and Peter Atherton are all sidelined while Robert Molenaar and Gunnar Halle are both suspended for Saturday's game against Rotherham.

Caldwell played in three of Newcastle's Intertoto Cup games at the start of the season before joining Blackpool on loan, making seven appearances for the Tangerines.

The Scottish defender scored the winner against Bradford in last season's 4-3 Worthington Cup win at St James' Park.

The Bantams are also without Gary Locke, who has a hamstring injury, Eoin Jess, who has flu, and Gareth Whalley, who is struggling with a groin strain.
