Robinson, Pearce and Fletcher extend Bournemouth deals

Team captain Jason Pearce, midfielder Anton Robinson and veteran striker Steve Fletcher have all signed new one-year deals at Bournemouth.

Former Portsmouth defender Pearce, 22, has made 116 league appearances for the Cherries while Robinson has featured in 66 games, scoring five goals.

Fletcher, 37, is entering his 18th season at the club and has played 561 games for Bournemouth.

The Cherries renamed the North Stand the Steve Fletcher Stand in March.

"I was involved in 45 of the 46 league games last season and started 37 or 38 matches. I never contemplated that much and don't think the manager did either, it would be great to think I could be involved in that many games again this season," Fletcher told BBC Radio Solent.

"I keep myself right, more so than I ever have done and think you have to the older you get. I've got to make sure I'm ready for Eddie to select me as I want to play every game.

"Between me, the manager and the assistant we've maintained my body to the best of its ability.

"Everybody wants the higher aspirations. I think 90% of supporters would just want a nice steady season in League One after the last few years we've had, but as a professional and after what we've achieved in the last 15 months there's no way I'm going to settle for that."
