Quinn replaced Kevin Bond as manager in early September
Bournemouth boss Jimmy Quinn has said he is struggling to find a replacement for Michael Rankine, following the loan striker's return to Rushden & Diamonds.
Rankine, 23, was recalled by the Blue Square Premier club on Tuesday.
And Quinn told BBC Radio Solent he does not expect to make a new signing before the FA Cup tie against Bristol Rovers.
"I am trying to bring in a striker but with the FA Cup, clubs don't want them to be cup tied," said Quinn. "We'll just have to go with what we've got."
Rankine failed to score in his four-game stay with the Cherries, who host the Pirates in the first round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
