Bournemouth's veteran defender Neil Young has announced he will retire at the end of the season.

The 34-year-old has spent 14 terms with the Cherries and made more than 500 appearances since arriving in 1994.

But in recent years Young has been repeatedly sidelined by successive knee and ankle injuries.

He has decided to emigrate to Australia with his family in the summer where he will be taking up a coaching role at a soccer school in Adelaide.
