Creditors are due to vote on the consortium's CVA proposal next week
Bournemouth's hopes of exiting administration have been dealt a blow with the withdrawal of a key member of the consortium hoping to buy the club.
Local businessman Marc Jackson is no longer part of the group being led by current Cherries chairman Jeff Mostyn, because of "contractual issues".
BBC Radio Solent understands that those issues are financially-based, although Mostyn refused to confirm that.
The consortium had been due to meet the club's creditors on 7 April.
They lodged a successful bid with administrator Gerald Krasner, and were hoping to persuade the creditors to vote in favour of a Company Voluntary Agreement, which would ensure that the club were not docked any further points by the Football League.
The Cherries are facing relegation from League One this season after being hit with the mandatory 10-point deduction for entering administration.
