Bournemouth's Wales Under-21 striker Sam Vokes has turned down the chance of a move to Crewe Alexandra.
Vokes has come up through the youth ranks at Dean Court
Cherries manager Kevin Bond confirmed that Crewe boss Dario Gradi made an approach for Vokes, 18, who is the club's joint top-scorer this season.
"Sam didn't want to go to Crewe, and we didn't want him to leave the club, " Bond told BBC Radio Solent.
"We made him aware of the enquiry from Dario, and that's the end of that. It's good news for the club."
Vokes has scored nine goals in 38 league appearances for the Cherries, including five in 25 games this season.
