Bournemouth have signed Brentford striker Jo Kuffour on a Bosman-style free transfer.
Kuffour was Brentford's top scorer last season as they were relegated
The 25-year-old rejected a new deal at the Bees following their relegation to League Two, and has penned a two-year contract at Dean Court.
"He's a first-class player with lots of ambition and is joining an ambitious club," chairman Jeff Mostyn said.
"I'm pleased that all our efforts over the past two weeks have now come to fruition," he added.
Kuffour began his career as a trainee at Arsenal, but did not make a first-team appearance for them and joined Torquay in 2002.
After nearly four years at Plainmoor, he followed ex-Gulls manager Leroy Rosenior to Brentford last summer, scoring 14 goals in 44 league and cup appearances.
