Bournemouth have signed Aston Villa defender James O'Connor on a two-year contract after a successful loan spell.
O'Connor has impressed since joining the Cherries on loan
The 20-year-old told the club website: "I have been thinking it over all week. The lads have been great and that made all the difference to my decision."
The Cherries have also signed American central defender Frankie Simek, 20, on a month's loan from Arsenal.
Also, Southampton defender Matthew Mills has extended his loan spell at Bournemouth for a second month.
However, Mills will miss Monday's game against Milton Keynes Dons as he will be on England Under-19 duty.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Star newspaper claims that Bournemouth are interested in signing defender Lim Chan Yew - one of three Malaysian internationals who has recently been training with the south coast club as part of a government initiative.
