Bournemouth boss Sean O'Driscoll is poised to extend Portsmouth striker James Keene's loan for a second month.
Keene, 19, bagged his first league goal after coming on as a substitute as the Cherries won 1-0 at Colchester.
"We've spoken to Portsmouth, and as long as they don't pick up any injuries at the weekend, we'll extend his loan for another month," O'Driscoll said.
"He's fitted in well, that goal will give him a great boost, and hopefully he can score some more."
Keene made two Premiership appearances for Pompey towards the end of last season, and has had seven outings in his first month at Dean Court.
Defenders Shaun Cooper and Callum Hart are to have their contracts extended until January, while striker Kirk Hudson's contract will not be renewed after the end of October.
The trio had signed short-term deals just before the start of the season after joining Bournemouth on trial during pre-season training.
