Boston have completed the deal to bring Daryl Clare back to the club.
Clare was in prolific form for Chester last season
The Pilgrims agreed a fee with Chester for the 26-year-old and completed all the registration formalities on Friday morning.
Clare will go straight into the Pilgrims squad for the visit of Mansfield Town.
The striker played for Boston in the 2001/2002 season and boss Steve Evans said: "I have never hidden my admiration for him."
Clare had also been a target for Conference high-fliers Carlisle, who had a bid for the striker accepted by Chester.
