Bolton boss Owen Coyle and striker Johan Elmander have won the Barclays Premier League manager and player of the month awards for November.

Scot Coyle, 44, who moved to the club from Lancashire rivals Burnley last season, has secured three wins and two draws during the month.

Swedish forward Elmander, 29, scored three goals in that period to take his season's tally to eight so far.

Bolton have also gained plaudits for their style of play this season.

The Trotters are set to make the short trip to Manchester City on Saturday, where a victory could potentially put them up to fourth in the Premier League table.

November started with a 4-2 win at home to Tottenham before a 1-1 draw against Everton and a 3-2 win at Wolves.

Bolton then beat Newcastle 5-1 at the Reebok Stadium, with Elmander scoring twice, before they finished the month by coming back from 2-0 down to earn a point against Blackpool.
