Puygrenier has played Champions League football this season
New Bolton signing Sebastien Puygrenier has received international clearance to begin his Trotters career.
The 26-year-old defender signed on loan from Russian side Zenit St Petersburg until the end of the season on Friday.
The Frenchman's registration was not complete in time for him to feature against Arsenal last weekend but he may now face Manchester United on Saturday.
"His attitude is fantastic and everybody has been impressed with him," said Bolton boss Gary Megson.
"He's played against a lot of the big clubs, he's got a good bit of pace and he knows the game.
"We are looking forward to seeing whether he can defend in the most difficult league in the world."
Puygrenier played in Zenit's Uefa Super Cup victory over Manchester United in August.
