Rasiak has scored 25 goals in two years at Southampton
Bolton have signed forward Grzegorz Rasiak on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old Poland international has scored eight goals in 28 games for the Saints this season and joins with a view to a permanent deal.
Bolton boss Gary Megson said: "Grzegorz is a big powerful centre forward who knows where the back of the net is."
"This a big chance for me to play in the Premier League and to improve as a player," added Rasiak.
"It's only on loan at the moment. I still have two-and-a-half years remaining on my contract with Southampton but if I do well and score goals then who knows what the summer will bring.
"It wasn't an easy decision and I thought about it for a long time.
"I've really enjoyed my time here and it's a good club and a nice place to live."
Rasiak first moved to England when he signed for Derby in 2004. He moved to Tottenham just a year later but failed to establish himself at White Hart Lane.
He signed for Southampton in 2006, originally on loan, and has netted a total of 25 goals for the Championship side.
