Allardyce relief at comeback
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce hailed his side's comeback against Blackburn - but was angry at a decision which he feels could have cost his side the game.

Bolton right-back Nicky Hunt was off the pitch receiving treatment after tangling with Andy Cole when Blackburn scored their second.

And Allardyce said: "That could have cost us very dear.

"In the end that decision hasn't cost us because of an unbelievable fightback by our players."

Bolton were 3-1 down at one point before winning 4-3 at Ewood Park.

We did not defend very well - we were beaten by the simplest form of attack
Rovers boss Graeme Souness

Allardyce added: "It was an unbelievable fight from the players, particularly after some self-inflicted mistakes.

"But on the second goal it seems bizarre that Andy Cole was not punished more for what happened with Nicky Hunt and we had to spend three or four minutes with that player off the pitch.

"That ultimately cost us a goal when we hadn't done anything wrong.

"I just can't accept the bizarre rules that we have to live under. Sepp Blatter probably thought them up when having a cup of coffee in Argentina somewhere.

"That has to be changed for me. We can go like rugby actually and have one ready to come on while he's off.

"Coming back from 3-1 down is a mammoth, mammoth, mammoth victory for us."
