Davies seals Bolton move
Striker Kevin Davies
Davies has fallen from grace
Kevin Davies has completed his transfer to Bolton after passing a medical.

Davies was released by Southampton during the summer and has been on trial with Bolton as he seeks to restore his reputation.

The 26-year-old was once tipped to lead the line for England after a 7.5m move from Southampton to Blackburn.

But a loss of form coupled with a series of injuries led to him returning to the south coast club.

I've got a lot to prove but I'm not going to say too much about that until I can go out there and do it
Kevin Davies

He was loaned out to Millwall last season before returning to St Mary's for the run-in and then released.

Davies scored for Bolton in a 4-0 friendly win over Portadown on Saturday.

"My confidence has been low over the last two years and it's nice to feel wanted," Davies told the Bolton website.

"I've got a lot to prove but I'm not going to say too much about that until I can go out there and do it.

"Now I can't wait to get as fit as I can and get my place in the team. I've got a chance in the Premiership."

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce
"Hopefully Davies will provide us with goals"
