Ormerod signs new Blackpool deal

Ormerod has played at eight different clubs in his career

Blackpool striker Brett Ormerod has signed a new one-year contract.

The 32-year-old returned to the Seasiders for his second spell on a free transfer from Preston in January.

He started seven games last season and made eight appearances off the bench as Blackpool pulled away from the Championship relegation zone.

His previous spell at Bloomfield Road ended in 2001 and he also played at Leeds, Wigan, Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Oldham.

His new contract includes the option of an extension into a second year.
