Martin turned down a new contract with Spurs to join Blackpool
Blackpool have confirmed the signing of versatile England youth international Joe Martin from Tottenham, following a loan spell last season.
The 19-year-old has agreed a two-year contract plus the option of a further twelve months at Bloomfield Road.
Manager Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I am delighted to have signed Joe.
"He's a great lad and he fitted in well last season and I'm sure he'll prove to be a great signing."
Martin is Blackpool's fourth summer signing following the recent arrivals of goalkeeper Matt Gilks and defenders Alex Baptiste and Marlon Broomes.
Joe is a young, hungry player who was desperate to come and is desperate to play
Blackpool boss Simon Grayson
He made his league debut on the final day of last season in Blackpool's 1-1 draw with Watford which cemented the Seasiders' place in the Championship for this season.
"He is a young, hungry player who was desperate to come and is desperate to play," Grayson said.
"His versatility will be a massive asset for us. He played left-side midfield against Watford and we know he can play at left-back, in the centre of midfield and as a left-side centre back."
