Blackburn manager Mark Hughes has revealed he is considering signing former Manchester Utd player Quinton Fortune for the rest of the season.
The 30-year-old South African international has not played a competitive match for more than a year after an injury hit spell with Bolton.
Hughes told BBC Radio Lancashire: "We were made aware that he was available.
"We thought it was good to have a look at him and to check his fitness levels were up to the required standard."

Fortune started his career with Spanish side Mallorca, before moving onto La Liga giants Atletico Madrid and then Old Trafford where he scored ten goals in almost 100 appearances between 1999 and 2006.
He only managed six starts for Bolton between July 2006 and May 2007 before being released.
"He's had problems with injuries and he's just had another operation," Hughes said, "but he's come back from that and looks fit and well.
"There's no doubt of his pedigree, played at top clubs and made an impression at all of them.
