Samba secures new Blackburn deal

Samba has made a big impression since his arrival at Ewood Park

Blackburn defender Christopher Samba has signed a new five-year deal at Ewood Park following a string of impressive performances.

The 23-year-old has been a regular since he arrived from Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin in January.

The DR Congo international has made 13 appearances for Rovers so far this season, scoring once.

Manager Mark Hughes said: "We are delighted to have secured Chris's services for the long term."
