Souness enjoys lift-off
SOUNESS'S VIEW
Blackburn boss Graeme Souness
Blackburn boss Graeme Souness believes his side can escape the drop after the crucial win over Leicester.

"The most you can ask for is your destiny to be in your own hands, and it is that, so it's up to us," he said.

"I'm obviously delighted with Monday's result and Saturday's, and we now have four games to do what we have to do.

"It was a scrappy affair, especially in the first half. There were two nervous teams, two teams fighting for their Premiership survival."

Souness added: "We got the breakthrough - although it was an own goal, Jon Stead was going to put it in.

"In the second half, we did create some chances and could have made it 2-0, which would have made it a far more comfortable afternoon for us and maybe helped us settle down a bit and play a bit of football, or a bit more football."
