Shock as Adebola quits
Dele Adebola
Dele Adebola embarking on new Spanish career
Birmingham's Dele Adebola has joined Las Palmas, according to the Spanish club.

The fee has yet to be announced but the giant striker has signed a two-year deal with the Spanish outfit.

He will be swapping Nationwide Division One soccer for Primera Liga action after his new club gained promotion back into the top flight for the first time in 12 years last season.

The Nigerian scored 30 times for the Blues in his two-year stint at the club after his 1m move from Crewe.

But he has been unable to hold down a regular first-team role at St Andrews last season.

Birmingham manager Trevor Francis is still looking for new firepower as he looks to take the Blues back into the Premiership.
