McLeish has signed five players so far this summer
Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has revealed he wants to make at least one more permanent signing before the end of the transfer window.
McLeish is also keen to add loan players to his squad as well before the end of Monday, 1 September.
He told the club website: "I'm hoping to do at least one but, if I could get two, it would give us some security.
"There will also be loans but I would prefer tried and tested ones rather than ones for the future."
McLeish has already made five signings this summer with Lee Carsley, Kevin Phillips and Marcus Bent joining permanently and Quincy Owusu-Abeyie and Kemy Agustien arriving on loan.
Blues, though, are potentially light in midfield following the recent injury to Medhi Nafti with Damien Johnson and Agustien still unavailable.
