Defender Alex Bruce has cut short his loan move to Tranmere Rovers.
The 21-year-old, who has previously been farmed out to Oldham and Sheffield Wednesday, returns to Birmingham where he has yet to play for the first-team.
Bruce made 12 appearances for the Prenton Park outfit but lost his place to Paul Linwood after he was called back from a loan period at Wrexham.
The right-back's loan spell at Tranmere, which began in July, was scheduled to run until 22 January 2006.
