Morrison set for Blues bow
Former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison
Morrison has not played for the Blues since his move
Birmingham's record signing Clinton Morrison is finally fit to make his Premiership debut for the club at Everton on Wednesday.

The 4.5m signing from Crystal Palace has been suffering from a groin problem which kept him out of the opening two matches against Arsenal and Blackburn.

I am determined to make an impact in the Premiership
Clinton Morrison

But the player safely came through a behind-doors practice game on Monday, playing for 65 minutes, and is now ready to face the Merseysiders.

The Blues badly need the firepower of Morrison as they failed to find the net in the first two matches.

Manager Steve Bruce confirmed: "Providing there is no reaction, Clinton will be in the squad and ready to play."

Morrison said: "This has been a frustrating period for me having to sit out the first couple of games.

"But these things happen in football and I am determined to make an impact in the Premiership."

Bruce has brought in five players in the summer but does not expect any more newcomers before the transfer window closes at the end of August.

He said: "There are one or two irons in the fire but to be perfectly honest we're a long way short of anything happening.

"Unless things change, we are done in the transfer market for now."
