Bart-Williams snubs Blues
Chris Bart-Williams
Birmingham are poised to finally sign Bart-Williams
Nottingham Forest midfielder Chris Bart-Williams has turned down a 1m move to Birmingham.

Cash-strapped Forest had hoped to cash in on their transfer listed skipper.

He will be entitled to leave the City Ground next summer on a free transfer when his current contract expires.

But Bart-Williams has rejected the switch.

He said: "I've given it a lot of thought but it is too early in the season for me to make a decision on my future. I want to stay.

"I'm enjoying my football with Nottingham Forest and it's an honour for me to captain the side.

"I am focused - I think I've proved that already this season - and I am available for tomorrow night's game with Stockport and Saturday's trip to Grimsby."

Forest had suggested the 27-year-old would not be considered for the Worthington Cup clash with Stockport.
