Fenton's trial ends with release
Graham Fenton
Fenton tangles with Di Canio for Leicester last season
Barnsley have decided not to offer a contract to Leicester City forward Graham Fenton, who has been on trial at the Oakwell club.

Fenton and former Cambridge United goalkeeper Arjan van Heusden went on the Tykes' recent tour of Finland but did not do enough to impress Dave Bassett into giving them a contract.

Fenton has only made 34 league appearances since arriving at Filbert Street three years ago for 1.1m from Blackburn Rovers.

The 26-year-old had a brief loan spell with Walsall at the end of last season.

Bassett is now giving a trial to Dutch left winger Ferdino Hernandez, who is available on a Bosman-style free transfer from AZ Alkmaar.
